The new PATA Finn has a great French influance as she was born partly in France!
The hull lines were optimised and redesigned by Jacques Fauroux.
The prototype was built in August 2014. Carefully tested by great Finn sailors now on the Market!
Monsieur Jacques Fauroux is a very experienced boat designer, a higly recognized expert of optimizing hull lines restricted by one design and box rules. Plus an active Finn sailor!
We are very honoured that he redesigned the PATA Finn lines and helped us to build the Finn of the future.
The new building mould's plug came also from France as it was cut by the CNC machines of the H2X Boatyard in La Ciotat.
The new mould was built in the Pata Workshop in Hungary.
Thanks to the craftsmanship of Monsieur Fouroux the PATA FX1 developped a lot compare to the older type Finns by having:
3 cm longer waterline
10% less wetted surface
An almost symmetrical underwater form at 15° heel
All GFK and COMPOSITE PARTS OF THE PATA BOATS ARE POSTCURED IN OVEN !
